Summer Reading Program Schedule of Events

Saturday, June 28 - Join us for a visit to the Pymatuning Nature Center to learn about birds and mammals. While we “creep” along the nature trail, we will “bee” hunting for bugs. We will leave the library at 11:00 a.m. and return at 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday, July 2 - Buzz on over as we have a visit from Vorisek’s Bee Farm and learn about honeybees. Program begins at 6:00 p.m. in the library.

Saturday, July 5 - Fly your way down to the library and learn about cockatoos. Linda Humphrey and her dancing bird Buddy will be here for story time at 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday, July 9 -Flutter on into the library as artist Tami Hritzay joins us for a special origami program. Program begins at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 12 - Flutter, crawl or scurry with as we travel to visit the Erie Zoo. We will leave the library at 11:30 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 16 - Scurry on down to the library and join us as Magician Doc Dixon delights us with his magic show. RSVP Show time is at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 19 - Flutter on into the library as we learn about butterflies and make a butterfly craft. Butterfly program begins at 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday, July 23 – Come to the library for teen game night from 6:00 – 7:30p.m.

Saturday, July 26 – Crawl on into the library and get rock’n with us as we create creepy-crawly crafts. Program begins at 11:00 a.m.

Saturday, August 2 – It’s Party Time!!! Flap your wings on down to the park and join us for a picnic, games and prizes to celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program. Party begins at noon.

In the evening, “Catch the Reading Bug” with the Sea Wolves at 7:00 p.m. All readers will be recognized and honored prior to the game in an on-field parade and ceremony. All readers will also receive FREE tickets to the game. You must provide your own transportation.
